Bob Simplifies Your Saw Selection with DEUTZ

An innovative concrete saw, equipped with a DEUTZ engine and developed by Cleancut Construction Products in Australia, is preparing to make its mark in both domestic and international markets.

Based in Queensland, Bob Irvine, the founder of Cleancut Construction Products, has created the world’s first 4-wheel drive concrete saw. This groundbreaking saw not only vacuums its own waste while cutting but also adheres to workplace health and safety lifting guidelines.

Traditionally, large concrete saws have been imported, but Bob, along with his distributor Traxx Construction Products, aims to manufacture the saw locally in Australia to cater to both domestic and export markets.

“We anticipate launching a 61 HP model in the first half of 2018, followed by larger and smaller models later on,” Bob reveals.

The 61 HP machine is powered by a DEUTZ F4L2011 diesel engine. Bob’s choice was primarily influenced by DEUTZ’s competitive pricing and strong reputation as an engine supplier. The proximity of DEUTZ’s presence in Brisbane, near Bob’s Buddina base, was an additional advantage.

During the prototype phase, the saws received support from the Australian Federal Government due to their unique ability to self-clean the slurry generated during cutting, while minimising slipping and vibrations.

“Compared to other saws of similar size, which have been classified as ‘extreme risk,’ our CLEANCUT saw offers distinct advantages,” Bob explains. “When larger blades are used, the centre of gravity in other saws shifts toward the operator, making them challenging to lift and manoeuvre. Our patented lifting mechanism in the CLEANCUT saw ensures that the centre of gravity moves vertically when raised, eliminating this issue and enabling effortless manoeuvrability.”

Prior to establishing CLEANCUT in 2015, Bob successfully owned and operated a concrete cutting business for 24 years. Over the past two years, DEUTZ Australia’s Engine Sales Business Development Manager, Ross Harman, has provided invaluable advice and support.

“Ross has become an integral part of our small yet dedicated team,” Bob affirms. “With the saw’s workplace health and safety advantages, we are confident it will generate significant sales, and we expect DEUTZ to play a pivotal role in this success story. Our relationship has been exceptionally strong.”
